Once again CBS faked us out with a preview for Tuesday. Clearly those bastards are toying with our emotions. We still got two days of Otalia – bookended so our withdrawal symptoms didn’t get into rubber sheets land. Join us as we debate hot face touching, single mommy guilt, the Good Coopers (gag), and the dreaded spoiler which shall not be named.

**This just gets better and better baby. We got an email from Jennifer Gibbons today who said “The guy is a jackass-not only because of the GL comment” Apparently Oprah is starting a cult, Katie and Tom are lying because Katie didn’t tell him first, and he doesn’t understand how elections work (apparently saying that Obama was elected because Oprah endorsed him- I cant find a link right now and my desire for a nap is over riding my desire to further diagnose this guys douchebagitis). I feel safe about the Oprah cult thing though. Christin met Oprah once and by this guys own reasoning she would have told Christin if she was starting a cult.
- Liz jacked up her mic for the first 18 min or so, so this is her public apology for the shitty sound and the blowing your ear drums out.
- Dani requests that someone send Liz a copy of the Playgirl cover with Frank D.

Special PaaV: Top 10 Otalia Episodes

In honor of our 10th Podcast, Liz and I decided to come up with our top 10 Otalia episodes. Which is an awesome assignment and in some ways really easy and in others insanely hard. It’s like choosing which child you love more (okay, except if that child happens to be named Frank, Reva, Marina, Mallet, etc. etc.). There’s a wealth of awesome Otalia stuff, from subtle to overt to hilarious to heart-wrenching. A great reminder of why we love this couple.
Liz and I decided to impose one rule on ourselves: we could only choose from pre-wedding episodes. Partly because we started our podcast during the wedding week and thusly already analyzed all the following scenes to death; but partly because we’re huge whores for all the foundation laid between Olivia and Natalia which made all the wedding and post-wedding stuff so magical.

Kidding. But seriously, these are just our favorites, and we welcome you to share your own top 10 lists in the comments.

Break out the pinatas and party hats, PaaV has made it to the big One Oh. Back when PaaV was simply a glimmer in our eye, we never thought we’d get here. We never thought we’d have the success and the love we have. We owe it all to you all. We have some of the most rad listeners in all of podcast land, our comments and emails are always super nice and funny and smart and insightful. We are so blessed to be doing this, not a day goes by that we don’t acknowledge how lucky we are. Crazy week! Both wonderful and depressing, but we are going to focus on the wonderful because we’re optimists like that.
Notes:
- Liz forgot to comment about the kiss being cheating or not. So she’s making a special appearance in the notes to add her thoughts. Yes, I think it will be seen as cheating, or at least a very painful betrayal, by Natalia. I do not think Olivia sees it as a big deal – but its pretty well established she has shitty morals in this area. And Natalia, I mean, Gus cheated on Harley with her too, but I know Nat felt awful about it. And it was a ‘true love’ (gross) thing. So, I think Natalia, if she finds out, will be hurt – but get over it fairly quickly when she understands Olivia’s head space. Back to your regularly scheduled Dani brilliance.
- Dani is a simple girl and prefers Dove “soap” – they even sell it at regular Targets, no ID/hats/sunglasses necessary, and yes it comes wrapped in a pretty box. Liz prefers Caress because obvs, it has a way better name.

We somehow convinced Jennifer Gibbons from Red Room to come talk with us about all things groundbreaking on Guiding Light. Clearly she’d never listened to our podcast, she’s way too cool for us. This is probably one of our rantiest podcasts ever. It could be because Dani’s blood alcohol content was 90% pinot grigio. But probably not. If this week didn’t inspire you to go on a rant yourself (share in the comments!) then we apologize in advance. We bitch because we love, and this week was damned frustrating. At least we got the backwards wave and a few other tidbits. Unwind with us, it’s cathartic.

We know a bunch of you had been asking about this podcast, and we’re happy to say it’s back like Converse and gold lamé headbands! Yes, you can still trust us to be cool enough to interview the cool people who interview the cool people.
It’s really one of our favorite podcasts, probably because it involves two things we love: Crystal Chappell and the Tello Films girls, Christin and Nicole.
It’s been a light Otalia week, you deserve it.
We chose to cut about 7 minutes from it just to avoid internet drama and/or stress. Luckily it still completely rules. But as LeVar Burton says, you don’t have to take our word for it. Five points for a Reading Rainbow reference, oh!
