    Somehow we saved enough kittens from burning buildings in our past life to have the distinct pleasure of chatting with Tina Sloan. She even played “Would You Rather?” like a champ – clearly, there are few people cooler than her. If it sounds a little choppy it’s because the minute we mentioned Otalia, she had a lot to say, and asked us to cut some of it. We would apologize, but it’s Tina Freakin’ Sloan, she can officially do whatever she likes on our podcast.

    - Be aware, Tina gave us some very loose spoilers. I know many of you are spoiler free – so listen at your own risk. Now, Liz has a beautiful people clause in her spoiler freeness, that if a beautiful person gives it to me – its fine. I’d suggest having a beautiful people clause in your own contracts as well.

      I have a clause that allows beautiful, gracious people to mispronounce my name. Tina is allowed to pronounce my name any old way she likes.

      Popping my commenting cherry here (uh..) to say that I LOVED this. The two of you are great interviewers, super engaging and fun, and Tina is such a gem. Hearing her talk about some of her back-in-the-day storylines makes me want to hunt them down!! Her thoughts about Otalia and the pregnancy (appreciate her take re: CBS involvement) and her outreach to women w/breast cancer induce some internal fangirl squees. Love Tina Sloan and I thank you for sharing this. Great job!!

      How much do I love her? You guys are awesome for doing this, she sounds like such an interesting person. Loved hearing her take on the pregnancy. It also sounds like she wasn’t the only one really confused and frustrated by the whole thing. She completely rocks for saying what we all thought about CBS holding them back. Such a great interview with a really amazing woman and actress. :)

      great interview girls! she is a fascinating woman. and thanks snapper for the link. Tina has been amazing as Lillian for years and as a long time GL fan it makes me miss Maureen and actually hearing Vanessa have dialogue.

      Well, in my usual “Always Look on the Bright Si-ide of Life” way (this is JUST re Otalia, mind: usually I’m Pessimism Personified!), I choose to focus on the “lovely stuff” La Tina reports going on w/ Otalia filming *now* (while we’re still stuck viewing Angst City).

      Tina was awesome, and it really brought home what a loss the end of GL is, so much experience and class off the screen so we can watch what? Another talk show or game show?

      Did you at least get her to swear in the parts that were cut out of the podcast?
