The plus side is this podcast was not recorded in the hallway of a hotel.
On the other hand, this week is weird because frankly, we’re feeling weird about the show. We could have extended our collective WTF beyond Otalia into the rest of Springfield (Mallet’s story, for example), but we felt like we’d end up in straitjackets if we did. The dearth of physical intimacy, layered and cerebral writing, and logical editing is slowly sapping our will to snark.
Also, Liz was completely wrong about there being a kiss by our 20th podcast, so feel free to take her to task in the comments (but not too harshly, because then I’ll have to kick your ass). (Don’t worry, she blames herself)

What can we say? We love Orlagh Cassidy. She was kind enough talk to us about the revelation that Doris was a lesbian, the fun of playing a total bitch, why Doris cares that Olivia and Natalia end up together, and who would be her ideal mate for Doris.

Some things are better aged… Cheese, wine, this podcast. But its still Monday so quit your whining! Thanks to Kish for coming on to help us fill in the gaps caused by Dani’s near absence this week, and thanks to that guy in the hotel room for being cool, for a while anyway. Come hear Liz get schooled on how to use profanity, Dani being more weird than usual, and Kish being horribly cold hearted about a deep seeded fear of mine.
You’ll have to forgive my slighty sloppier than usual editing job. It was honestly midnight before we even started recording last night, and if you’ll recall I have a life and kids and a demanding podcast wife. So, a wee little slack, please.

So, you may or may not know Dani is out in the world this week, searching for herself and the meaning of all creation. I miss her terribly and am devastated to be abandoned in this cruel manner. Why does this matter to you? No Fri fun stuff. Sorry y’all, shit happens, we took a week off. If you forgive us- I promise next Fri fun day will blow your socks off.
However, our amazing friend Ms. Tina Sloan’s show, Changing Shoes, is coming to Hotlanta! September 25th to October 8th If you are there, you need to go see it. If you are almost there- get your ass in the car and go see it. I’ve been told its chock full of GL clips and stories, as if you needed more motivation to go hear more about Tina’s amazing life. She is so fun, we all want to be her when we grow up. Check out the site, go see the play, live and be merry, buy some new shoes for the occasion.

Guess what? You’re spared from more complete randomness because this was a 3-day Olivia week. Like an oasis of hard liquor in a desert full of Coopers, we got enough Olivia to properly do our thing, and damn it feels good to get our groove back. The shadow of Natalia’s return has breathed new life into us! And invigorated Liz’s need to point out the rampant lack of undershirts in Springfield. Let’s do this!
